The Seven Dwarfs Pyramid Shirts

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a classic disney movie and is known the world over. Why not celebrate your love of this Disney movie by wearing a Seven Dwarfs shirt with pride. Snow White was one of my daughter's favorite Disney Princess, but I think the Seven Dwarfs were the stars of the movie - "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work we go......."

I can still remember watching this movie at the cinema and seeing as my parents weren't even around when this movie was first released in the thirties it was obviously one of the re-releases that was playing. I know I was with my younger brother, mum and nan (it's the only time I can remember going to the movies with my nan) so it was probably the 1975 release. Whichever one it was I remember loving it and singing the 'Heigh ho' song constantly for weeks afterwards!

Now can you name all seven? It's okay there's always one that eludes you! The seven dwarfs are Dopey, Doc, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Sneezy and Bashful.

Grumpy is basically like a child, he sulks, he storms off and he pokes out his tongue. We used to call my dad Grumpy and tried to 'encourage' the grandchildren to call him that. Surprisingly he was the one that encouraged the nickname the most, but it didn't stick!

Sleepy is what I call a friend of ours because just like the dwarf Sleepy he can fall asleep absolutely anywhere - and does.

I'm not sure which is my favorite Sleepy shirt - I do like the first one and I think it would look especially cute on a baby's t-shirt. There are a few times when the second shirt (with Sleepy yawning) would be a great one to wear, a way of subliminally telling someone they're boring!!!

Tees with Memories

I was very lucky a few weeks ago to find a Born in the USA t-shirt, it was totally unexpected as I was actually looking through some cheap, I mean economically sensible, shirts for hubby when I spotted it.   Apparently my eyes lit up so hubby had to say those words we all love to hear - "Buy it!" I used to love Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA album and would play it constantly as a teen.   I was very considerate towards my family by the way - I always made sure that the record player ( yes, the album was on vinyl) was turned up loud so that they could all enjoy the Boss belting out his songs! Buying the t-shirt brought back lots of memories and isn't it great that a simple piece of clothing could do that?   That is the beauty of t-shirts, you can wear them in comfort while reliving past memories.   March 21st is National Memory Day so why don't you celebrate the day by wearing a tee that brings back memories for you? Rainy Day T-Shirts

Well it has been a really wet start to the summer here in South East Queensland - although NSW aren't fairing much better if pictures on the news are anything to go on. This is the view of one of our local footy grounds yesterday afternoon. This morning the sun was shining and I thought woo hoo! Very happy as I had to go in to school and see dd's teacher instead of using the drop off zone - my umbrella's broken and I haven't replaced it so getting wet wasn't appealing to me. Just before lunch the clouds opened up again and I can see a little river running rapidly down the road along the gutters.....I hate to think what the footy field looks like right now. So this blog is about t-shirts, why am I writing about rain??? I thought I'd see what rain inspired tees I could find to feature on a rainy day blog!
